Austin and Emily have one of the sweetest stories ever! They have been together for over 7 years, they’ve known that they have wanted to get married for a long time, and they haven’t even graduated college yet! Emily is a nursing student and Austin is studying Pharmacy. They attend the same school and love spending time with each other. Austin said at our session, “we’ve already been together longer than most marriages!” We talked during our session about how relationships only last when they are based on commitment and not feelings only! For a couple so young they definitely have wisdom beyond their years and I’m sure will be blessed with a lifetime of happiness because of it! 

I’m in love with this shoot from the SC Botanical Garden and the Walker Golf Course Dock! Alexandra and Chase have such a sweet love story. They’ve been friends for years and years and started writing letters to each other before they were even dating. The best part of our shoot was that they brought some of those letters along and posed with them in front of the lake. It was the sweetest! I have to admit, I even shed a tear because Chase’s letters to Alexandra are so sweet! Enjoy these photos from their engagement session! 

Wow! It’s been a while since I’ve posted an engagement session on the blog! Life has been a little hectic, so my blogging hasn’t been as active in posting my e-sessions. That ends today! Check out this beautiful morning engagement session I had with Kristin and Mike at Furman back in March. The weather was perfect, and I am totally digging the morning light we got to take advantage of! Kristin & Mike were fun to work with and I enjoyed getting to know them, especially Mike’s sense of humor. He was cracking jokes all day. I loved it! I can’t wait for their wedding in September! 

Sassafras mountain is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to shoot! I am in love with these photos from Emily & Matt’s engagement session. They were so much fun to photograph, seriously! They were super laid back and easy to work with, and just look at how excited they are to be getting married! I can’t wait for their wedding this summer! 

Anna & Jacob’s classy engagement session was an absolute blast. We started the evening at the gorgeous SC Botanical Gardens in Clemson and explored the different settings that the gardens have to offer. We could have spent hours here! After that, we traveled a few minutes away to the Walker Golf Course Dock and caught the most gorgeous sunset! There aren’t many things I love more than water and a good sunset. We continued to shoot into the post-sunset twilight which made for some beautifully creamy images. If I’m being honest, I have to admit this was my favorite engagement session to date, and I’m extra proud of these images. Anna & Jacob were so easy to work with, and they chose such gorgeous locations for their session! I hope you have as much fun viewing them as I did taking them! I can’t wait until Nov. 19!

Jenna & Cameron are getting married in just a couple of months, so we headed over to Furman University for the engagement session this weekend. I had such a good time with the two of them! I love the way that they look at each other. My favorite part about being a photographer is that I get to see so many people being happy and in love. I love love. 🙂 We were lucky enough to catch the roses while they were still in bloom and had some fun in the garden. Enjoy these images from their romantic session!

I had the pleasure of meeting Sam & Susie this year at Susie’s sister Becky’s wedding! Later that week, I found out that Sam worked at a pool where I give swim lessons regularly in the summer. Small world! I had such a great time with Susie’s family at the wedding, so I was over the moon when she contacted me asking that I would photograph her wedding as well! We decided on Sassafras Mountain, the tallest peak in SC, as the backdrop for their e-session. Sam & Susie are SO. STINKIN. CUTE. Just look at their smiles!! We had so much fun laughing and having a good time. We also got to witness a stunning sunset on the mountain, and it was a perfect evening. Anna and Jared are getting married at the beautiful Gassaway Mansion in Greenville, SC. For their engagement photos, we looked for a place that would compliment their venue but would be slightly more casual. I think we found the perfect location at Anderson University. We explored some of the buildings around campus and found a great indoor breezeway area with beautiful light. After that, we set up in front of some of the gorgeous buildings on the main Anderson campus mall. I had a great time with these two and can’t wait until their wedding in September!

My favorite part of photographing couples is that moment when it feels like they’ve forgotten I’m there and they are just happy, in love, and being themselves. That was pretty much this entire shoot with Jon and Eve. They were relaxed, happy, and just had fun together. I hope you enjoy these photos of them at Furman University!
