Focusing was definitely the hardest for me. I’ve gotten too used to using my AF points, haha. Exposure wasn’t too hard, but I haven’t used film enough yet to really come across challenges with it. I did notice that the first batch of prints I got back were darker than I like, so I compensated by going one stop up for whatever the light meter said. I definitely stil don’t understand a lot about using film though. White balance for one thing. I’m not even sure how that comes in at all except I know what film you buy does make a difference haha.

One interesting thing is that my percentage of "good" photos out of the whole batch was way more than normal because I put a lot more time into everything to be sure it was right rather than just taking-a-buch-of photos-because-one-of-them-is-bound-to-be-right like I tend to do. I figured this would be the case, but I don’t think I was expecting to actually get good shots haha. It got me thinking about what would happen if I spent more time on each shot when I shoot digital. Perhaps I would get more quality out of the quantity. It was definitely a huge learning experience for me. I learned some things and realized there’s still a lot more I have to learn, and I think I’m a better photographer because of it.
