Today I’m sharing this beautiful engagement session at the SC Botanical Gardens and the Walker Golf Course Dock! This is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to shoot in the upstate because it is simply GORGEOUS. The weather forecast at the beginning of the week was showing rain all week, but it cleared up just in time for our session on Saturday and we had the most beautiful golden light!
Rachel & Chad met a year and nine months ago at their alma mater, Clemson! Rachel asked me before our session about shooting in Clemson, and I knew just the place! The SC Botanical Gardens is a perfect spot, and it happened to be only a few minutes from where she used to live when she was a student!
During engagement sessions, I get a chance to find out more about my couples and learn how they interact. When I asked them what they enjoy doing together they both paused then said they love eating! Talk about my kind of couple! Matt always jokes that he’s never seen someone get as excited about food as me! Rachel and Chad love going to the lake and going tubing, and just being together! Chad actually proposed to Rachel by surprising her at her family’s lake house. She said she was totally not expecting it!
Can we talk about how good they look?! I am obsessed with Rachel’s off-the-shoulder dress. It is so elegant and fun! And the colors they chose at our second location went so well together! I love it when my couples choose something bold! Rachel and Chad are getting married in two months at TWIGS and I could not be more excited about it, especially after getting the chance to hang out with them at their engagement session.
