Happy Friday! Today I got on Facebook Live to talk about the power of positivity in your sessions and your client interaction! One of the hardest things to learn as a photographer is finding your voice! When you are doing a session, you are the expert, and you have to sound confident in your abilities, even if on the inside you feel like you don’t know what you’re doing! I’m sharing three things that helped me change the way I interact with my clients to help them feel better about themselves, have more confidence in my abilities, and help me deliver a better product to them in the end! I’ll share them here below, but check out my video for a full description and examples!
1. Speak Up!
Remember that you are in control of the session!
Don’t be afraid to voice your opinion!
You are the expert! Have confidence in yourself!
2. Find your light!
Look for the locations that will produce images consistent with your style!
Don’t be afraid to move spots or change your angle if needed!
3. Create great poses!
Be sure to give instructions on what you want them to do!
Don’t be afraid to tweak a pose until you’re happy with it!
