ID: Episode 133: Milestones of a successful launch: a comprehensive guide.

Hey friends, welcome back to The Dream Biz Podcast! Launches can be incredibly overwhelming with all the planning involved. My goal with this post is to break down the process into manageable chunks so you can launch your product with confidence.

Key Milestones of a Launch

You wouldn’t embark on a road trip without a map, right? Think of this post as your roadmap to a successful launch. There are six key milestones I’ll be discussing today, and I hope you find them valuable.

Milestone 1: Launch Planning

The first phase of any successful launch is planning. This is where you’ll map out everything about the launch and set your major goals. Here, you’ll decide who your ideal audience is and do significant market research to understand what they want and need.

Ask Yourself:

  1. What am I launching?
  2. What does my audience want to know?
  3. What are their pain points regarding this offer?
  4. What is their ultimate desire or transformation they seek?
  5. How can I connect and share my message with them?

Plan Your Assets:

At this stage, you’ll also create a list of necessary assets: your product itself, sales pages, checkout pages, a sales email sequence, lead-generating events (like webinars or downloads), and the respective registration pages and emails.

Milestone 2: Pre-Launch Phase

The pre-launch phase is all about priming your audience for what’s to come. Shift your content to address their pain points, desires, and key objections. This is your opportunity to generate buzz and anticipation about your product.

Milestone 3: Launch Prep Phase

This phase involves executing the nitty-gritty details: creating email workflows, writing sales pages, and integrating your tech tools. Don’t neglect your content during this stage – your planned and prepped content keeps the momentum going.

Milestone 4: Launch Party

I love calling this milestone the “Launch Party” because it should be a celebration of your hard work! This is your lead-generating event where you get to connect with your audience in a meaningful and exciting way. Make it fun and engaging; the more conversational and exciting, the better.

Milestone 5: Follow-Up Phase

The follow-up phase is crucial. Make sure you have a plan for those who didn’t immediately purchase during your launch party. This involves sending follow-up emails and possibly even DMs on social media. Focus on engaging conversations and answering any questions they might have.

Milestone 6: Data Collection Phase

Finally, you’ll enter the data collection phase. This is where you gather and evaluate the data from your launch. Avoid placing judgments on the data. Instead, see it purely as information that can help you improve your next launch. Track metrics like email click-through rates, sales page visits, and conversions to understand what worked and what didn’t.

Final Thoughts

Launching a product can be a daunting task, but breaking it down into these key milestones makes it much more manageable. If you have any questions or need help with managing these milestones, that’s exactly what we do at Team CJC. Let’s take the stress off your plate so you can focus on what you do best.

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you found this guide helpful and feel more prepared for your upcoming launch.

Until next time, happy launching!
