Hello friends, welcome back to the Dream Biz Blog! Today, I want to talk about the essential phase of priming your audience for your launch. This crucial step often gets overlooked, but it can make or break your launch’s success. Let’s dive in!

Why Priming Your Audience is Crucial for a Successful Launch

Launching an offer, whether to existing clients or new potential customers, requires more than just a good product or service. It involves ensuring your audience is ready to receive what you want to give them. Many launches fall flat because the audience hasn’t been adequately prepared, resulting in missed opportunities and a lot of frustration.

Start Priming Your Audience Three Months in Advance

The key to a successful launch is planning ahead. As soon as you start planning your launch, begin priming your audience immediately. Ideally, this should be around three months before your actual launch date. By doing this, you can engage, excite, and prepare your audience well in advance.

Ask Questions

Start by engaging your audience in meaningful conversations. Use your Instagram posts and stories, Facebook groups, email surveys, and even other online communities to ask questions related to their pain points and desires. The insights you gather will not only help you tailor your offer but also create a sense of involvement and anticipation among your audience.

Give Sneak Peeks into Your Launch

Building excitement is crucial, so don’t keep your launch a secret. Share sneak peeks of what you’re working on through your stories, posts, and even behind-the-scenes content. Direct your audience to a waitlist if they want to secure their spot early. This approach not only builds anticipation but also gives you a preliminary list of interested individuals.

Educate Your Audience with Relevant Content

Educational content is a powerful tool in the priming phase. At least one month before your launch, start posting content related to your product or service. I like to begin this process three months in advance to ensure my audience is fully prepared and excited. Whether it’s blog posts, videos, or social media posts, ensure your content adds value and addresses their needs.

Plan for Your Launch Party

A crucial part of the priming phase includes planning your launch party. Whether it’s a webinar, an Instagram or Facebook Live event, or another lead-generating freebie, this event serves to generate buzz and excitement. During this time, we’ll decide the structure of your launch party, from how to invite people and the event flow, to what party favors you’ll offer and how you’ll follow up afterward.

Set Up the Back-End Logistics

Setting up the logistics is a vital behind-the-scenes task. This includes creating a registration page, preparing delivery and anticipation emails, and sending out thank-you emails with party favors. All these elements need to be ready to ensure a smooth and successful launch.

Outline Your Sales Sequence and Sales Page

While priming your audience, it’s also essential to start outlining your sales sequence and creating your sales page. Begin drafting the copy for your sales materials, keeping the end goal in mind. This ensures that all elements of your launch are cohesive and work together seamlessly. Having these pieces in place will make your audience pumped and aligned for the launch.

Avoid the Biggest Pitfall: Skipping the Priming Phase

Skipping the priming phase of your launch can be detrimental. If your audience isn’t ready and excited about your offer, your launch may not achieve the desired impact. Ensuring you spend the necessary time three months in advance by asking questions, sharing sneak peeks, and posting educational content will set you up for success.
