Since Emily & Austin are married, I can FINALLY share Emily’s stunning bridal session!! Austin & Emily were married at The Gassaway Mansion, so it made perfect sense to do Emily’s bridal session in this beautiful mansion! Emily’s gorgeous dress came from The Castle Prom & Bridal Shop, and holy. cow. Is she not stunning in it?! I am just obsessed with the lace details, the beading on her sleeves, and her gorgeous dress!! She was radiant!! I love shooting at The Gassaway Mansion not only because it’s so elegant, but because there are so many options for portraits. It’s impossible to take a bad photo there!! The front room is stunning with its white walls and green tile, and of course the beautiful antique furniture makes for the perfect backdrop for bridals. The front porch is absolutely stunning, especially with the florals that they always drape from the balcony!!
Speaking of florals, I have to brag on Emily’s maid of honor, Maddie, for a second!! Emily’s favorite flower are peonies, and they aren’t usually in season until late April. We did her session at the beginning of April, and there weren’t any local florists who had them! Well, Maddie came to the rescue! She found a florist in Georgia that had peonies and was able to get them here for Emily!! Talk about an amazing best friend!! And I am so glad that she was able to find them, because they are stunning!! They were the perfect touch to this classic bridal session at The Gassaway Mansion.
I have loved working with Emily every step of the way in preparing for her wedding. From day one, I knew that we would become fast friends!! She is the absolute sweetest, and she is passionate about photography. So when her wedding day came along, I didn’t document her day as just another vendor, but as a friend! I think my favorite part about being a photographer is getting to meet so many wonderful people and provide them with memories that will last a lifetime.
