Skylight Chapel Wedding | Cambrye & Taylor

skylight chapel wedding

skylight chapel weddiCambrye & Taylor tied the knot at Skylight Chapel this weekend! Cambrye and Taylor are such a sweet couple, and it was truly an honor to photograph their special day! When I first met with Cambrye, Taylor, and Cambrye’s mom, I knew instantly that they were going to be a fun family to work with! They are all just so kind, sweet, and welcoming! I got to hang out with them a little bit more during their engagement session at Hooker Falls, and you can view their photos here!

Skylight Chapel is just down the road from Lake Robinson, which is where we had planned to take some of their portraits during the day. Unfortunately there ended up being an event happening at the lake, so we did all of their portraits at the Skylight Chapel. We have been having some crazy weather here lately, and it was supposed to rain all day long, but instead we got a beautiful, sunny day!! Hooray! The one catch – it was so muddy on the grass!! If there’s one thing I’ve learned about being a wedding photographer for the last 4 years, it’s that you have to roll with the punches and expect the unexpected!! The porch of Skylight Chapel provided the perfect spot for their first look and family photos, and we were able to get some beautiful portraits on the pathway to the ceremony location.

Cambrye and Taylor dated for 8 years!! I’m an extrovert, so the smallest things get me really excited. Cam was calm, cool, and collected the whole day. That is, until I finally figured out what it is that gets her excited. It’s Taylor, of course!! My favorite part about the day was during the ceremony when Cambrye just laughed, smiled, and giggled through the whole thing!! This is where she really came out of her shell and couldn’t contain her happiness. It was obvious that she was so incredibly excited to FINALLY be marrying the love of her life!!

Congratulations Cambrye & Taylor! Thanks for letting me share in your joy!

A HUGE thank you to my always fabulous second shooter, Sara Touchet! She’s just the best!
