Hello friends, and welcome back to the Dream Biz blog! If you’re a regular reader or new to our community, I’m thrilled to have you here. My name is Christi Johnson, and I’m a community builder and business consultant dedicated to helping you make your dream biz a reality. Today, I want to dive deep into something incredibly crucial for any business launch – your launch tech stack. This is everything you need to implement a successful launch, from software selections to making sure every part works seamlessly together. Let’s get into it!

Why You Need a Solid Launch Tech Stack

Launching a business can be overwhelming, but having the right tools in place can make it so much easier. With the proper tech stack, you’ll be able to streamline your processes, keep your sanity intact, and ensure nothing slips through the cracks. Here’s a comprehensive guide to the essential tools you’ll need.

1. Email Software: The Heart of Your Launch Tech Stack

One non-negotiable is having an efficient email software. There are so many emails to be sent during a launch – to engage your audience, invite them to your launch party, and pitch them your offer after the party. I personally love Flodesk for its unlimited pricing model, sleek designs, and ease of use. It’s great because you pay a flat rate regardless of your subscriber count, unlike other platforms that can get pricey as your list grows.

For those looking for alternatives, ConvertKit and MailerLite are excellent choices as well. ConvertKit’s free plan allows you to sell products once you connect your Stripe account, while MailerLite’s free plan includes automation features. However, MailerLite doesn’t offer the sales functionality within the free plan.

Want to save on Flodesk? I have a coupon for 50% off your first year. Check it out!

2. Checkout Pages: Convert Visitors into Buyers

You’re going to need an efficient checkout page. I recommend Thrivecart for its one-time fee and versatile sales capabilities. Simply link your sales page buttons to your Thrivecart checkout page for a seamless experience.

If you’re using a course platform like Kajabi, Thinkific, Teachable, or Kartra, you can also leverage their built-in checkout pages. Additionally, Flodesk recently added a checkout feature for those on the checkouts tier.

3. Integration: Keep Everything Connected

Having a way to integrate your email software and checkout page is crucial. If you’re using Flodesk, this is already covered. If not, you’ll need a tool like Zapier to effortlessly connect your apps, ensuring your customers start receiving emails right away.

4. Landing Pages: Capture Leads Effectively

Next up, you need a compelling landing page. You can either build this directly on your course platform, which often comes with beneficial analytics, or on your website. Both methods work; choose whichever you’re more comfortable with.

5. Project Management Tools: Stay Organized and On Track

Staying organized is vital for a successful launch. For a straightforward solution, Microsoft Excel offers great project management templates and features like smart chips and drop-downs. For something more robust, Airtable is fantastic and free. It offers diverse views and organizational options, though it’s not a conventional project management tool. Simpler alternatives include Trello, and for more advanced needs, consider Asana or ClickUp.

6. Google Drive: Centralize Your Assets

Lastly, a well-organized Google Drive folder will be a lifesaver. Store all your assets – graphics, photos, important links, copy for emails, and sales pages – in one place. This keeps everything easily accessible and ensures nothing is misplaced.

Ready for a Smooth Launch?

There you have it! Those are the essential components of a solid launch tech stack – email software, checkout pages, integration tools, landing pages, project management tools, and Google Drive for asset organization. Setting these up might seem overwhelming, but remember, I’m here to help. If you’d like assistance in managing your launch backend, feel free to book a discovery call with me. I’d love to take this off your plate so you can focus on the bigger picture.
