Jones Gap State Park Snowy Engagement Session | Jacob & Joanna

With the weather getting warmer, I know we are all excited for SPRING! I’ll be the first to raise my hand! I have to admit, that I do have a soft spot for winter because SNOW!! I was lucky enough to be able to have two sessions this season with snow on the ground!! As we prepare for spring, I’ll be sharing those sessions on my blog to say goodbye to winter! This session was taken at Jones Gap State Park! It’s one of Joanna’s favorite places to visit, and it did not disappoint!

I met Jacob & Joanna at school! I was a piano major, and so were they! They are both very talented pianists. It’s no wonder that they fell in love! They are both so kind, caring, and considerate and have real hearts for the Lord! I can’t wait to see where the Lord leads them on their journey together!

We headed over to Jones Gap State Park for their session in December. There had been a snowfall the previous week, but we were definitely not expecting there to be snow on the ground!! When we arrived and saw a few patches of snow still left, we knew we had to shoot there! Jones Gap offered the most adorable woodsy backdrop for their snowy session. We were also not prepared for the COLD!! The temperature was only supposed to be in the fortys, but for some reason it was much cooler in the valley at Jones Gap! We nearly froze our fingers off, but it was so worth it! I hope you enjoy the photos from Jacob & Joanna’s snowy engagement session at Jones Gap State Park!
