Triple Falls | Dupont State Forest Snowy Waterfall Session | Devin & Steve

Today I’m sharing another snowy session!! This time at Triple Falls in Dupont State Forest! Triple Falls is a beautiful cascade of three waterfalls located in Dupont State Forest in NC. When Devin suggested a session swap at a waterfall location, I was ecstatic! It had been a while since I’d photographed at a waterfall. It was exciting being back at Dupont State Forest! Devin is one of my second shooters, and I have so enjoyed working with her! Some of her work is featured in my posts on second shooters, so check them out!!!

I loved getting to meet Devin’s husband, Steve! It turns out he is actually in the same line of work as my husband, Matt! We also know some of the same people! We had a great time chatting with both of them and getting to know each other better. I’m looking forward to more get togethers in the future. Devin is currently working a full time job and doing a fantastic job at her side hustle of photography! I love having her shoot with me, and getting to photograph her and her honey was even more fun!

Triple Falls was the perfect spot for our session. It was FREEZING by the waterfalls, and there was still snow on the ground from the most recent snowfall! But when we went up to the woods on the trail, it was like a totally different place! The sun was warm, and there was no snow to be found! It was like we got two sessions in one! We went up at just the right time to catch the sun peering through the trees! It was so beautiful! I’m really glad that we were able to get these warm, sunny shots after freezing our tails off by the snowy waterfalls!
