Dacusville Anniversary Session | Sam & Susie

It’s Sam & Susie’s anniversary!! Ah! I’m SO excited for these two, and so happy that I got to see them again and capture their first anniversary photos! Sam & Susie will always hold a special place in my heart because I got married two days after them! Their wedding was so much fun. I’m so happy that I got to celebrate with them knowing that I was about to go through the same thing. When Susie contacted me about photographing their anniversary photos, I was so excited!

We decided to take these photos at a field next to my in-laws house in Dacusville, SC! It was the absolute perfect backdrop for their session. The rolling hills and the beautiful mountain view can’t be beat! Sam and Susie were such troopers in the tall grass and the summer heat! They didn’t let it faze them! The funniest part about their session is that my sister-in-law’s dog, Luther, kept following us around! There was a point in the session where he was standing right in front of Sam and Susie, and he wouldn’t move. Matt had to come out and call him over so that we could continue our session. It was hilarious!

What I love most about Sam and Susie is their joy! They are so much fun to work with and just completely relaxed and joyful. I love Susie’s smile so much! My husband grew up in Dacusville, and I think after this session Sam wants to move there too, haha! He was totally obsessed with the rural, quiet, outdoor living. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they moved there after they finish their time in Columbia! I kid, I kid.

But seriously. Congrats to Sam and Susie! Happy One Year, now on to many more!

If you want to follow more of their story, check out their engagement session and their wedding post!
