Christa and Jesse were married this past Friday at the beautiful Pretty Place Chapel in the mountains of South Carolina. The day of their wedding was actually a pretty dreary day in SC. The forecast was showing heavy rain right at the time of their wedding!! As I was driving up the mountain, there was very thick fog. I started praying and praying that God would move the clouds so that they could enjoy the beautiful view at Pretty Place! When I arrived at the chapel, there was thick fog covering the entire mountain view. My heart was so sad for them! But I kept praying. Amazingly, just before their wedding started, God moved the fog out of the way and it revealed the incredible mountain view complete with the beautiful fall colors. And to top it off, the rain completely stopped!!! I think God was showing off! Their fall wedding ended up being perfect!!

Christa & Jesse both share a love for music. As a pianist, that makes my heart happy so much! They actually met at a songwriting group for worship music. Now they are worship leaders together at their church and have a band that plays for community events and youth groups around their city! Since they love music so much, they actually started their wedding with a time of worship. It was so incredible to be able to worship in front of the amazing mountain view after we’d just witnessed God part the clouds for them.

Jesse proposed to Christa in front of a water fountain that was special to them. We decided to take post-wedding portraits at a waterfall nearby to continue the theme. 🙂 When we arrived, Christa & Jesse were blown away by the beauty of Hooker Falls in Dupont State Forest and the incredible fall colors. They really did pick the perfect weekend to have a fall wedding in SC!!! Christa & Jesse are both from Florida, and this was actually the first time that Jesse had ever seen a waterfall! How special to be able to take their portraits in front of God’s wonders and power displayed in nature – both the mountain view and the waterfall.

Christa & Jesse, I’m so happy for you guys and can’t wait until we can meet up again! You two are so sweet and your love for Christ sines through. Congratulations, Christa & Jesse!!

Fall Wedding at Pretty Place Chapel and Dupont State Forest

  In all the weddings I’ve shot, I’ve actually never seen the groomsmen do this! It was HYSTERICAL! 

Finally, we have the ring!! 

Jesse & Christa decided to have their first dance right after they were announced as husband and wife. What a special moment to be able to admire the view once again and take everything in right after getting married!
