Fall Wedding at The Loom | Josh & Lindsey

fall wedding at the loom

Josh & Lindsey were married this past Sunday at The Loom at Cotton Mill Place. What I love about this wedding is that Josh and Lindsey did exactly what they wanted! They knew they wanted a small wedding with no unnecessary frills – just a special, relaxing day for their friends and family to interact and celebrate them coming together as one!

I love all of the personal details about this day. Lindsey’s engagement ring is a ruby instead of a traditional diamond. It is gorgeous and went perfectly with all of the fall details! Josh and Lindsey have been wearing matching bracelets for 6 years that they got together at one of their special dates. Right after their first look, they took them off for the first time since then in exchange for their wedding rings!!

They also did a lot of things that weren’t quite traditional. They opted to not have a bridal party and just have their parents and grandparents walking down the aisle before them. I love how they didn’t fall to the pressure of doing what is “expected” and just did what they wanted! Their reception was a relaxing time for the friends and family to mingle. They played their favorite music, ate good food, and were able to be themselves!

Lindsey’s father was so sweet all day. Lindsey is an only child, and it was definitely an emotional day for Mr. Lauer! He was so sweet and excited to see his little girl get married.

I always love shooting at The Loom! The light is gorgeous, and the space is elegant, rustic, and modern all at the same time. And everyone there are true professionals!!! The food was catered by Reeves Catering and was SO DELICIOUS, as always! Their hors d’oeuvres were absolutely tasty, and the food was to die for. And the cake was brought in by Strossner’s Bakery! A Greenville classic! Twigs did the flowers, and I loved the fall-inspired tones. The Party Machine was so great at delivering exactly what Josh & Lindsey wanted. It was a relaxing day for Josh & Lindsey and it was exactly what they wanted!

Brides, if you want to do something that is not traditional, GO FOR IT! You don’t have to do certain things at your wedding just because that’s what everyone else does. Make it unique and do what you want!! You’ll be so much more relaxed and so much happier that you did what you wanted instead of what everyone else said you should do.

Josh & Lindsey, I couldn’t be happier for you guys! Congratulations, and thank you for letting me be a part of your special day!
