Kimberly & Kyle are just the sweetest! I absolutely loved hanging out with them during their engagement session at Table Rock State Park earlier this month! These two met in middle school and started dating in high school. Isn’t that awesome?! I always love hearing stories about couples that were high school sweethearts because that is so rare today! I can tell they are so in love even after all this time. The way they look at each other says it all!
I love their proposal story! It involves hiking, which is one of my favorite things to do! A few months ago, they went on their anniversary trip to Table Rock. They planned to hike to the top! If you aren’t familiar with Table Rock, it is a beast of a hike! Kimberly was pretty nervous and felt like giving up, but Kyle kept encouraging her. They made it to the top!! What an awesome feeling!
Kyle & Kimberly have a fun tradition of filming a little clip on their go pro any time they’d have an adventure together. They stopped at the top for a while to enjoy the view, and then it was time to film their clip. They call their chronicle K&K! I love it! Well anyways, while they were filming their K&K clip at the summit, Kyle got down on one knee and asked the love of his life to marry him! She said yes!
Naturally, we decided that Table Rock was the best place to do their engagement session. I love that it holds sentimental value to them! We started our session at the waterfall near the trailhead. There was a crowd of people there! Thankfully, we could tell that they were getting read to leave, so I decided to snap some shots of Kimberly’s gorgeous ring while we waited. Eventually the group cleared out and for a few minutes there was no one at the waterfall! Hooray! After that, we tried heading to The Lodge but there was an event there. So we went over to the Visitor’s Center and snapped some shots there and at the surrounding areas! The fall colors were amazing! At the end of our session, we headed to the dock right by the visitor’s center. We couldn’t have had a more perfect day for our shoot!
The only downside to this session is that I have to wait a whole year to see them again for their wedding! Kimberly & Kyle, I’m so happy for you guys and can’t wait for your wedding!
