It was such a joy to photograph Elizabeth and Josiah’s wedding at Covenant Community OPC in Taylors! Witnessing God’s grace and provision in bringing these two wonderful families together was a privilege. Elizabeth and Josiah knew each other for years before becoming reacquainted this summer as single parents. I love how their boys play such a big part in their story! When they first started talking, their boys immediately hit it off. They kept hanging out and quickly realized there was something more to their relationship.
Although they have both been through hard seasons, I’ll bet falling in love wasn’t one of them. In Elizabeth’s words, “you can tell a lot about a person when they are trying to persuade a resistant 3 or 4 year old to do what is right. I was impressed by Joe’s gentleness and humility early on.” After lots of talking together, cooking together, singing, and learning to dance they knew that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together and create a new, complete family. When Josiah proposed, they were so excited and grateful for God’s answer to prayers not just for them, but for their boys as well.
Josiah & Elizabeth got married at their home church in Taylors with their family, friends, and church family to witness it. Their boys played a huge part in the wedding, and it was the absolute sweetest! They stood by their parents sides as they walked down the aisle, watched eagerly as their parents said their vows, and made the cutest appearance during the ceremony to present the rings! What a joy it was to witness!
Elizabeth and Josiah were so happy and excited all day. Just look at their faces when they look at each other! There’s not much cuter than that. I loved my portrait time with them because they kept smiling and laughing and it was just a blast. Elizabeth & Josiah, I’m so happy for you guys! Thanks for letting me share in your special day!
